Abstract
Coronary restenosis in bare metal stents (BMS) is a life-threatening complication in diseases such as unstable angina, myocardial infarction, and congestive heart failure. In-stent restenosis (ISR) in BMS is related to excessive neointimal hyperplasia, late regression, and other thrombogenic factors. Because stented lesions undergo re-endothelialization, very late-ISR (VL-ISR) is an extremely rare complication after BMS implantation. We experienced a case of VL-ISR 7 years after BMS implantation.
